Job Summary

Our client based in Woking who offer a comprehensive construction service are seeking an experienced IT Administrator.

Job Description

  • Ensure smooth day to day running of IT in support of wider business across all offices
  • Manage day to day relationship with outsourced IT companies and suppliers
  • Ensure all problems / issues are resolved in accordance with target times appropriate to severity of problem
  • Ensure IT infrastructure including PCs, network, firewalls etc are in line with current recommendations / revision levels for security, fail over, recovery and performance
  • Rotate and upgrade all IT software and hardware in line with replacement budgets and cycles
  • Work with project leaders to introduce, remove, change IT platforms, software and hardware in support of projects IT strategy
  • Make IT recommendations to project leaders for their consideration
  • Ensure all software and hardware used and installed is appropriately licensed. Keep quarterly audit records to verify this
  • Manage process of joiners and leavers ensuring that all joiners are fully up and
  • Updating and managing company website

Required Skills

  • Experience in a similar role essential
  • Takes full responsibility for all aspects of work
  • Initiates all decisions and initiatives relating to IT and the office / is the point of contact person externally and internally
  • Drives initiatives forward and through to completion
  • Proactive approach to all aspects of work
  • Ability to liaise with and manage suppliers on all matters
  • Ability to manage both large and small initiatives either as standalone person or as part of larger team
  • Ability to present ideas and initiatives internally for approval
  • Experience in website administration would be an advantage
  • IT infrastructure knowledge, together with hands on experience with computer networks, installation and network administration essential
