Meet The Team:

Rachel Oliver - Director

My career in recruitment began in 1996 when I started working for one of the largest independent agencies as an industrial and catering consultant and I swiftly moved on to work as a commercial consultant. During the eleven years working for the same agency I held many positions, Branch Manager through to Area Director. With the knowledge and skills gained I set up Clockwork Recruitment in 2009 and have a team of experienced people working with me, all of which have worked together previously.

When I am not running Clockwork Recruitment, I am either walking my dog (or she is walking me) or you may see me on SkySports News sitting behind the goal in the Matthew Harding end of Stamford Bridge watching Chelsea.

Emily Taper - Consultant - Managing Temporary Recruitment

In the dark and distant past I worked in manufacturing for 4 years as a Rework Technician and flew high in the skies for Qatar Airways honing my people skills before going back to college to gain a Distinction in HND Management. My career in recruitment started when I worked for one of the largest independent agencies, where I was part of the successful team who won the branch of year as a permanents consultant. I then spent seven years as a PA & HR Advisor within the Telecommunications Industry. Having missed the buzz and excitement of recruitment I came back to work for Rachel as a Business Development consultant whom I started with over 12 years ago.

When I am not on the end of the phone at Clockwork Recruitment I am kept busy looking after my two cheeky children, catering for their every need and whinge!

Lesley Amass - Consultant - Managing Permanent Recruitment

My previous work experience has been within sales marketing and customer services.  I started my career straight from school at Provident Personal Credit and a fraud Company based in London and have worked locally in the car industry and home improvement market.  My key to success is to ensure that our clients and candidates are happy.

When I am not at Clockwork Recruitment I enjoy my fiancée cooking dinner for me (I can't cook), and spending time with our families and friends. I am a member of a local scooter club.

Sue Mackender - Business Development Manager

My career in recruitment started in 1985 when no one used a computer; it was not quite the quill more a daisywheel typewriter. I trained and worked for a National Agency and then moved on to an independent, before opening my own Recruitment Agency Office Ours Recruitment covering Permanent, temporary and contract recruitment and supported businesses through a complete relocation. I was delighted to be invited by Rachel to join Clockwork Recruitment a much respected agency, which I have networked with for many years.

When I’m not recruiting I write women’s commercial fiction, mainly historical family saga. Anyone who knows me well, will find me enjoying fine dining, good wine and live music.

Rochelle Wilding - Business Administrator

I have been working in the recruitment industry since 2005, covering a variety of areas from administration through to running a busy temporaries desk for one of the largest independent agencies in the area. I joined Clockwork Recruitment in February 2010, on a temporary basis assisting Rachel with the administration and accounts side of the business. As Clockwork grew, so did my role, I now work permanently for them to ensure the "branch runs like Clockwork".

When I am not at work I enjoy spending time with my family; I have a young daughter who has a busier social life than me! You will also find me out walking my dog whatever the weather!!

Jane Blackwood - HR Manager

I can't remember being anything before being an HR Manager, through the years I have worked in various industries and come across practically anything that can be thrown at you, which I can tell you is quite a lot. There is never a dull moment but I enjoy every moment working with people and rising to the challenge. I have found there is no problem that cannot be solved.

When I am not helping people I am trying to stay fit and healthy, note the word trying. Also camping (when it is not raining) and enjoying spending time my family.
