A further 16% of firms expect the National Living wage to increase their wage bill at some point in the future. Some of those businesses that have seen the wage bill go up have actually recouped some of that by passing the cost onto its customers. A small amount of business have said that they have reduced its workers hours or they have cut back on recruiting to enable the wage bill to be smaller.
