Interview tips

Interviews can be nerve racking and a little daunting!

Here are some sound interview tips which should help you avoid all the common interview mistakes.

  • Prepare for your interview, research the Company online, read the job description and make sure you know the location and how long it will take you to get there, allow for traffic when planning your route. It would be a good idea to do a trial run prior to your interview to ensure there are no unexpected road works.
  • Be smart, always wear a suit to your interview, if you don't have one invest in one, it doesn't have to be expensive.
  • Take a notebook, pen and a copy of your CV, prior to your interview write down questions that you may want to ask.
  • Smile and shake the interviewers hand (a firm hand shake) and make eye contact.
  • To show your interest during the interview feel free to make notes but do not become distracted from the questions you are being asked.
  • At the end of the interview ask any questions that have not already been covered by the interviewer.
  • When the interview is finished remember to give a firm hand shake and make eye contact.
  • Always give full feedback to Clockwork Recruitment and let us know if you are interested in taking the job application forward to the next stage.
